Homogenous catalysts are a type of catalyst that facilitates the reaction. Both the reactant and the catalyst together form the final product. In the end, the catalyst is removed from the final product. Heterogeneous Catalysts- Heterogeneous catalysts provide the surface on which the substrates are absorbed temporarily. The bonds formed between the reactants and the catalysts are weak and thus the catalyst can be easily released from the final product. Absorbents are a type of chemical product that has the ability to absorb various types of liquids. Generally, an absorbent comes in to play during a process or reaction, when you want to get rid of the unwanted liquid. With the advancement made in the industrial world, various new absorbents are being discovered that can absorb liquid products from oil or even water.Both catalysts and absorbents are mostly used in Industrial processes. Various chemicals that you see around are there due to the chief role played by both catalysts & absorbents.
